Extra Information
The registration fee is £125, reduced to £20 if you are applying for an Assisted Place. This registration fee is non-refundable.
A £2500 deposit is payable on acceptance of a place. This sum will be credited to the final account and should be paid via our on-line system. We are unable to accept cash payments. This deposit is reduced if you are offered an Assisted Place.
Prep School fees are reviewed annually and include tuition, the use of text and library books, stationery and all materials used in practical subjects. Costs relating to all activities which form a part of the school’s curriculum such as games, are included in the school fees, as are lunches.
You have the option to choose from a range of extras, such as instrumental music tuition, select activities like Speech and Cubs, specific field trips and other optional excursions.
School fees are payable by direct debit and charged in advance at the beginning of each term, or in ten equal instalments starting in August. Overdue accounts are subject to a late payment charge. Any questions relating to the payment of fees should be addressed to the Bursar.
Please note that we are unable to accept cash payments for fees.
School fees cannot be refunded for any term or part of a term for which a pupil is absent through illness, accident or other cause.
All pupils are required to wear the school’s uniform. This can be purchased from School Blazer. We also have a second hand uniform facility.
Early morning supervision is available from 7.45am, free of charge. There is a charge of £10 per day for children who are on site between 4.00pm and 5.00pm and who are not involved in an extra-curricular activity. All children should be collected by 5.00pm as after this time there is no supervision.
We have a full time School Nurse who attends to the needs of pupils, dealing with minor injuries/problems. If pupils need to go home the School Nurse will contact parents directly. The School Nurse is willing to supervise the administration of medication during the school day should parents wish.
To keep traffic problems around the school to a minimum, we ask that parents/carers:
• Stagger arrival and departure times both to and from school.
• Do not park on the school site.
• Use public transport. Bancroft’s is on many local bus routes.
• Arrange to share lifts, where possible. Join the HomeRun platform to arrange lift shares.
We are currently looking into rolling out a new bus service in September 2024. Please contact the bursar for more information bursar@bancrofts.org.
